Type 8 Door
Double acting medium duty solid core traffic doors to be Carlson Products Type 8
manufactured by Carlson Products in Maize, Kansas, to fit opening size determined
by customer. Door body to be 1" overall thickness constructed of laminate or ABS
skin, chemically bonded to a solid wood core interior. 18" high 20 gauge stainless
steel kickplates bonded to solid core interior – both sides. Hinges to be low profile
gravity activated. Windows to be double pane plexiglass with molded single piece
frames which screw into a solid core interior to provide strength and allow for easy
cleaning and replacement. Full perimeter gasketing and header gasketing; double
action clamp flange spring hinges, full-length V-cam gravity hinges, and other special
options to be listed separately.
Type 8A Door:
Double acting solid core doors to be Carlson Products Type 8A manufactured by Carlson
Products in Wichita, Kansas to fit finished opening size to be determined by customer.
Clamp Flange or Spring Butt Hinges are attached directly to
the solid core interior. Both provide positive closing force ideal for
applications requiring rapid closure. The positive spring pressure will also
maintain doors in the closed position under drafty conditions or where a
significant pressure differential exists. Special options will be listed separately.
Type 8B Door:
Double acting solid core doors to be Carlson Products Type 8B manufactured by Carlson Products in Wichita, Kansas to fit finished opening size to be determined by customer. Full-Length V-Cam Hinge incorporates a full length extruded aluminum spine, full length steel rod, and extra heavy duty gravity hinge.
Hinge is operated by heavy duty V-cam bearings/roller assembly at the top
of the door resting on a cast steel bottom bearing, activated by gravity.
Ideal in operations when extra strength is required or heavy cart impact is
likely. Teardrop bumper are recommended for forklift or cart use.
