Solid Core, laminate clad door ideal for medium duty traffic where décor is important. Available in a variety of color options, hinge options, and gasketing make this the most versatile, cost effective door on the market.

Construction: Rugged .048 inch high pressure laminate or tough .100 ABS plastic used in the Type 8 doors offers a wide variety of decorative choices to compliment your interior. The durable skin covers a solid core of 3 / 4" exterior grade plywood with a tough heavy duty black ABS frame, with or without gasketing. The standard 12" x 20" window is framed by a single piece .125 " ABS frame for easy maintenance and a tight seal. Heavy duty 20 gauge stainless steel kick plates protect the finish and appearance of this quality door. Door can be mounted in wood or metal jambs. A variety of hinges makes this door fit any application.

Type 8 - Gravity hinges are attached to the door with bolts for easy maintenance or replacement.  Gentle closing action is activated by a roller cradle assembly at the top of the door and an offset pivot at the bottom of the door.  Type 8 doors are not recommended for very drafty areas due to the lack of positive closing and holding force.

Type 8A - Clamp Flange or Spring Butt Hinges are attached directly to the solid core interior. Both provide positive closing force ideal for applications requiring rapid closure. The positive spring pressure will also maintain doors in the closed position under drafty conditions or where a significant pressure differential exists.

Type 8B - Full-Length V-Cam hinge incorporates a full length extruded aluminum spine, full length steel rod, and extra heavy duty gravity hinge. Hinge is operated by heavy duty V-Cam bearings / roller assembly at the top of the door resting on a cast steel bottom bearing, activated by gravity. Ideal in operations where extra strength is required or heavy cart impact is likely. Teardrop bumper recommended for forklift or cart use.
