Kickplates

Kickplates are recommended for high traffic areas or where small carts are used. Kickplates are fastened to the door skin and may be used on one or both sides of the door. Available kickplate materials are listed below.

- Stainless steel - 16 gauge, 18 gauge, or 20 gauge
- Aluminum - 13 gauge or 16 gauge
- Galvanized Steel - 16 gauge, 18 gauge, or 20 gauge
- Aluminum treadplate- 1 / 16", 1 / 8"
- Thermoplastic rubber - 1 / 4"
- Stainless steel pushplates - 20 gauge

Locking Devices

Hasp - used with padlock or combination lock
Reinforced lock hole - used with chain lock
Cane bolt - can be used to lock door in place either open or closed

Bumpers

Aluminum cart bumper strip - can be installed to accommodate any cart height
Teardrop bumpers - recommended for high impact applications
- will absorb most of impact energy and protect door and hinges
- available in aluminum or thermoplastic rubber

Hinges

Low-profile gravity hinge standard

Clamp flange spring hinge

Full-length extruded hinge mount with V-cam hinge

Jambguards

- recommended for use in powered cart or forklift applications
- constructed of heavy-duty steel and powder-coated or painted for appearance. Also available in zinc-coated. Protects hinges from damage caused by rolling carts

Type 7 Door Specifications

Double acting medium duty composite traffic doors to be Carlson Products Type 7 manuactured by Carlson Products in Wichita, Kansas, to fit opening size determined by customer.  Door body to be 1" overall thickness constructed of ABS skin chemically bonded to a rigid PVC inner frame with a core consisting of expanded polystyrene and reinforcing cross mambers.  Hinges to be low profile gravity activated.  Windows to be double pane plexiglass with molded single piece frames which screw into reinforcing members to provide strength and to allow for easy window cleaning and replacement.  Standard features to include full perimeter gasketing and header gasket.  Special double acting clamp flange spring hinges, full-length V-cam gravity hinges, and special options to be listed separately.

Warranty

Carlson doors installed in accordance with manufacturer's printed instructions or shop drawings are guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from date of installation. Defective parts may be returned to Carlson Products, freight pre-paid, for repair or replacement. The decision of repair versus replace is up to the discretion of Carlson Products. This guarantee does not cover damage done by others. This guarantee does not cover labor or material costs incurred by reinstallation of repaired or replaced parts.
