The Carlson Products Type 10 Composite Postal Door meets or exceeds the 2001 United States Postal Service requirements and specifications. A fire-resistant Lexan® skin is laminated to 18 gauge galvanized steel for unmatched security. Exceptional durability is provided by the full-length extruded aluminum spine, cast steel V-Cam hinge with 1" solid steel rod, tamper resistant mounting hardware and 12" x 20" x 1/4" Lexan® double-pane window. Carlson Products independently floor-mounted 9" jambguards protect jambs without jeopardizing the integrity of the door or door frame.

Construction: Rugged .100" fire resistant Lexan® skins are used in the construction of Type 10 doors. The durable exterior panels, laminated to 18 gauge galvanized steel, encase standard polystyrene insulation producing a quiet operating and durable door. The door body is 1 3 / 4" thick with the Lexan® skin permanently bonded to a heavy-duty extruded frame. Type 10 doors come with full perimeter gasketing. The standard 12" x 20" x 1 / 4" Lexan® window is framed by a single piece .125 ABS frame which provides a tight seal around the window. Full-length extruded hinge mount, fully adjustable cast steel V-Cam hinge assembly and 36" thermoplastic rubber teardrop bumpers are standard features.
