Type 3A Installation

1. Attach door flange of hinges (see Fig. II) to doors using Phillips head machine screws.  Door spines have been mortised and predrilled and tapped for mortised hinge installation.  Hinge locations may vary from locations suggested in the included manufacturer's instructions due to door weight.
2. Doors may be attached to jamb in one of two ways: 
   1)   Hold door up to jamb and mark jamb flange hole locations on jamb.  Attach door jamb in these locations.  This method works best for light, easy to handle doors or when the use of an assistant is possible. 
   2)  Measure hinge locations on door and mark same locations on jamb.  Attach door to jamb at these locations.  This method works best with heavy, difficult to handle doors or when use of an assistant is not possible.
3. Tension the springs according to "Spring Tensioning Instructions" as printed below on manufacturer's installation instructions.
4. Check for proper operation and alignment.
5. Adjust bottom wiper gaskets if needed by loosening retainer screws, adjusting gasket up or down, and retightening retainer screws.
